For those of us far away from California, it’s hard to process the loss and trauma of the LA fires. Feelings of overwhelm, helplessness, and worry take hod as we see the devastation unfold.

The tragic impacts of LA fires are not fully evident yet and the fires are still raging. We all know someone impacted by the fires - someone who has lost everything, lost a workplace, a school, or a person they love.
You can support relief efforts by donating to the American Red Cross, and go fund mes of friends, World Central Kitchen, Boys & Girls Clubs of LA, and many others.

Lean into community connection and compassion as a climate solution and get to know your neighbors.
Know that it’s not too late to fix the climate crisis, but it will take all of us — our best thinking, creativity, and advocacy — to remove the political barriers to action.
Listen to the young people in your life about their worries and also create space to focus on the helpers in this crisis and climate solutions.
