  • LISTEN to the young people I know about their concerns about the future.

  • Let the young people I know that they are not alone. 

  • Share personal stories of resilience, gratitude & social progress.

  • Connect with nature.

  • Take action to create a greener, healthier, more just world future generations.

 At OneGreenThing one of our key principles is to “Think  Beyond Your Age.” This means it’s time for us to start thinking about ourselves as ancestors. What world are we creating for our loved ones and future loved ones? What will our future loved ones thank us for years from now?

  • Make the pledge to ASK and then LISTEN to the young people you love about how they feel about climate change. Then share with them that 1) they are not alone and 2) the progress and resilience you’ve witnessed in your own life, in your family, community, or at global scale. 

  • For most adults, this is a game-changing conversation that inspires a commitment to climate action.
